Attendance Matters!
It is important that every student attends school each day. Regular attendance helps students stay engaged in learning, keep up with classroom instruction, and build the skills they need to be successful. Attendance is one of the keys to academic success because every school day provides valuable opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement.
To participate in the Attendance Celebration, all students must attend school every day and prioritize attendance. This year, we are focusing on GROWTH! When we are present, we have more opportunities to learn, improve, and reach our goals.
When We Grow, We Achieve!
Be Present. Be Engaged. Be Ready to Learn.
Every Day Counts at George Hall Elementary!

As a reminder, please review the following **uniform and arrival safety expectations**. These policies are in place to ensure the **safety and well-being of all students and staff** while students are participating in school-related activities.
👕 Uniform Reminders
* School uniform jackets must be **red or navy blue**.
* **Hoodies are not permitted** as part of the school uniform.
* Jewelry such as **necklaces, bracelets, and rings** is not permitted as part of the uniform dress code.
* Girls are permitted to wear **stud earrings**.
We appreciate your cooperation in following the school uniform expectations. These guidelines help us maintain a safe and consistent learning environment for everyone.
🚗 Carpool and Arrival Safety
The safety of our students and staff is extremely important to us at George Hall Elementary. Please follow all carpool procedures each morning:
* Students must **remain in the vehicle until directed by a staff member to exit**.
* Please **do not drive around the cones**.
* Please **do not speed** while traveling through the carpool area.
* Please **do not park on side streets and allow students to cross the street**. This creates an unsafe situation for students.
* **K–5 students** should arrive through the **carpool area in front of the school**.
* Students in **Ms. Ederer, Ms. Evans, and Ms. Gordon's classes** should arrive through the **back of the school on Ghent Street**.
* **Walkers should not arrive before 7:40 a.m.**
* Walkers may enter through the **back doors of the lobby or the front doors**.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and support. By following these expectations, we can work together to provide a **safe, orderly, and welcoming environment** for all students and staff.
**Safety and the well-being of our students are our top priorities at George Hall Elementary.**
**Thank you for helping us keep George Hall safe!**
For the safety of all students, **students should not be dropped off at school before 7:40 a.m.** There is no staff available to supervise students before this time, which creates a safety concern.
Please remain in your vehicle with your student until a staff member is present and directs students to safely exit the cars.
Students who **walk to school should also not arrive before 7:40 a.m.**
Thank you for helping us ensure a safe start to the school day and for your continued cooperation and support.
**George Hall Elementary**
Additionally, walkers will not be released until the first wave of the car line has cleared. This procedure helps reduce traffic congestion and allows us to safely transition our walkers away from moving vehicles.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we continue refining our dismissal procedures. Our number one priority is the safety of every student, and we appreciate your partnership in helping us provide a safe and efficient dismissal each afternoon.

Please review the arrival and dismissal procedures for George Hall Elementary to help us maintain a safe and efficient process for all students.
Morning Arrival: Car riders will arrive at the front of the school on Antwerp Street. Please note that Antwerp Street is one-way, heading south, during morning arrival.
Afternoon Dismissal: Car riders will be dismissed at the back of the school on Ghent Street beginning at 3:00 p.m. Please note that Ghent Street is one-way, heading north, during afternoon dismissal. Parents and guardians should remain in their vehicles and follow staff directions.
Important Walker Reminder: For the safety of all students, walkers will NOT be released in the afternoon until the first wave of car riders has cleared the dismissal area. This will help reduce traffic congestion and provide a safer path for our walkers.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and support as we work together to ensure a safe, smooth, and efficient arrival and dismissal process.

We are excited to welcome our students back to George Hall Elementary School tomorrow, Monday, August 10, for the start of an amazing 2026–2027 school year! Our faculty and staff have been working hard to prepare a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for every student.
As we begin the school year, please remember that student arrival begins at 7:40 a.m. For the safety and security of all students, parents and visitors will not be permitted to enter the building during morning arrival. Our faculty and staff will be stationed throughout the building to welcome students, help them locate their classrooms, and ensure they arrive safely.
Please make sure your child is fully registered and that all required enrollment documents have been submitted. Students with incomplete registration will experience delays until the required documentation is received and enrollment can be finalized.
We also ask that students arrive prepared for the school day with their clear bookbag, required school supplies, and proper school uniform.
We understand that the first few days of school may require adjustments as everyone becomes familiar with new routines and procedures. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and partnership as we work to make arrival, dismissal, transportation, and other procedures as safe and efficient as possible.
Parents, we need your partnership throughout the year. Please help us reinforce the importance of attendance, punctuality, positive behavior, respect, and being ready to learn each day. When home and school work together, our students have the greatest opportunity to succeed.
We cannot wait to see our Eagles tomorrow and begin a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement!
We are FIT for Excellence—Focused, Intentional, and Transformative! 🦅
We look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday, August 10, for an amazing year of learning, growth, and new opportunities! We are excited to begin a year where our Eagles will be Focused, Intentional, and Transformative—FIT for Excellence!
For the safety and security of all students, parents and visitors will not be allowed inside the school building on Monday. We understand that the first day can be exciting and sometimes emotional, especially for our youngest Eagles. Staff members will be stationed throughout the building to greet students, help them find their classrooms, assist with their belongings, and ensure they arrive safely to their teachers.
Please ensure that your child is fully registered for school before Monday. Students who have not completed the registration process may experience delays in receiving a classroom assignment and beginning their school day. Completing registration in advance will help us provide a smooth and organized start for everyone.
Please also remember to label your child’s bookbag, lunchbox, jackets, and other personal items with their first and last name. Families should review the school uniform policy and ensure students arrive in the proper uniform each day. George Hall spirit shirts may only be worn on Fridays.
We ask for your patience and cooperation, particularly during arrival and dismissal, as everyone adjusts to our procedures during the first few days of school. Some processes may take a little longer than usual as students learn their routines. These procedures are intentionally designed to help us account for every child and maintain a safe, orderly environment. Our beginning-of-school plan emphasizes establishing consistent safety procedures and routines and explicitly teaching students expectations.
Student safety is our top priority. Thank you for trusting us with your children and partnering with us to ensure a safe, successful, and positive start to the school year.
We can’t wait to welcome our Eagles back Monday! 🦅❤️💙
